Winnie Hester Dill

Winnie Hester Dill, age 71, of Toccoa, Ga., passed away on September 29, 2019, following an extended illness. Mrs. Dill was born June 5,1948, in Habersham County, GA, to the late Oscar and Hester York Burton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Omer Dill; daughter, Dawn Michelle Dill; granddaughter, Delona Nelms; 1 great-grandson, Ralph James Cody; several siblings also preceded her. Mrs. Dill was of the Baptist Faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. Survivors, include: daughter and son-in-law: Ramona and Jeff Cody, Clarkesville, GA, and daughter, Renee Gosnell, Cornelia, GA: sons: Jacob Omer Dill and Finance', Denise Cleveland, Toccoa, GA, Patrick Dill, Toccoa, GA, son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Burton, Toccoa, GA; sister, Mary Jane Franklin, Clarkesville, GA; David Burton, Clarkesville, GA; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, at the Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church, Sautee, GA with the Rev. Bill Trotter and Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 pm on Wednesday to lie -in-state until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
