TOM HENRY BRADY, age 76, of Cornelia, GA, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mr. Brady was born on November 28, 1931 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Claude and Sallie Caudell Brady. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Tom Henry Brady, Jr., his sisters, Demie Gailey, Mae Gibby, and Ozell Gibby as well as brothers, Clell Brady, Hollis Brady, and Joe Brady. Mr. Brady was a member of the Level Grove Baptist Church. He was a United States Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Brady was a member of the Mt. Airy Lodge #141 F. & A. M. and the Scottish Rite of Charlotte, NC as well as the American Legion Post #353 in Charlotte, NC. He was retired from the United States Postal Service as a City Mail Carrier with 31 years of service. Survivors include: his wife: Edna Forrester Brady, Cornelia, GA; his daughter-in-law: Debbie Brady, Charlotte, NC; his sisters: Edith Knudsen, Sunnyville, CA; Katie Williams, Clarkesville, GA; his sister-in-law: Pearl Williams, Cornelia, GA; his brother: Watt Brady, Demorest, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2008 from the Level Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Rice and Rev. Chris York officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens Rev. Brian James officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
