Ruby Garner Tench

RUBY GARNER TENCH, age 66, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Tench was born on October 11, 1946, in Habersham County, Georgia; daughter of the late Rufus and Isabelle Eller Garner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanette Burson and her brothers, Marvin Garner and Allen Garner. Mrs. Tench was a pharmacy tech at Ingles Pharmacy and Jennings Pharmacy. She was a volunteer for Special Olympics from 1993 to 1995. Mrs. Tench was a member of Harvest Christian Church. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Benny Tench, Clarkesville, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Steve Mann, Washington, GA and Bonnie and Scott Sanders, Clarkesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Jeanette Tench, Clarkesville, GA; son, Randy Tench, Clarkesville, GA; sister, Linda McAvoy, Washington, GA; brothers, Earnest Garner, Cornelia, GA and Roy Garner, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Andie Bridges, Caitlin Mann, Jared Tench, Amber Tench, Cole Tench, and Dustin Sanders; and one great-grandchild, Baylie Bridges. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Larry Ryals and Mike Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the funeral home.
