Jim White, age 75, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020. Mr. White was born on September 10, 1944 in Moline, Illinois to the late Lowell and Ruth White. As a kid he joined the Air Force and served his county honorably in Vietnam. He was a life long Pilot with America West Airlines, and a Corporate Pilot for Salt River Project both in Phoenix, Arizona. He was also a General Aviation Enthusiast with a private plane in Toccoa. He was also an Aviation Instructor who loved to teach his trade to the next generation. Jim's life was focused around his aviation career and hobby. Jim was loved by everyone, he was fun to be around and was the life of the party. Survivors include his loving wife and flying partner, Kathy White, of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Kelsey White, of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Janet Ross, of Beloit, WS; Judy Crawford, of Selah, WA; and granddaughter, Rory White. Jim's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Airpower Museum 22001 Bluegrass Road, Ottumwa, Iowa 52501, please include "Gone West Memorial Jim White" in the memo line.
