J.D. Pritchett

J.D. PRITCHETT, age 83, of Lula, GA died Friday, May 9, 2008 at an assisted living home. Mr. Pritchett was born on July 24, 1924 in Banks County, GA to the late Will F. & Callie Nunn Pritchett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Annie Sue Williams Pritchett. Mr. Pritchett was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years. Mr. Pritchett was in the C.C.C. Camp. He was retired employee of Milliken with 47 years of service. Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law, Carolyn & Wayne Murray and Wanda & Phil Parks, both of Lula, GA, two sisters, Estelle Whitfield, and Rosa Lee Parker, both of Gainesville, GA, three grandchildren and spouses, Chad & Lisa Parks, Chanda & Jeff Banks, Casey & Amanda Murray, four great-grandchildren, Madison Parks, Jake Parks, Riley Banks & Ryan Banks. Funeral service will be held at 2:30pm Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Parks, Shane Wilson, & Rev. James Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Donald Grizzle officiating. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 2:00pm until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
