James Broner "Hollywood" Whitfield, Jr.

JAMES BRONER "HOLLYWOOD" WHITFIELD, JR., age 46, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012, following an extended illness. Mr. Whitfield was born on July 6, 1966, in Greenville, South Carolina; son of Ruby J. Whitfield of Clarkesville, Georgia and the late James Broner Whitfield, Sr. In addition to his father; he was preceded in death by his grandmother-in-law, Grace Clark. Mr. Whitfield was in the United States Navy. He was employed with the Tony Cook Trucking Company up until he was diagnosed with cancer. Mr. Whitfield attended Foothills Community Church in Toccoa, Georgia. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Robin G. Whitfield, Clarkesville, GA; daughter, Ashleigh "Nikki" Whitfield and her fiancé, Andy Sheriff, Eastanollee, GA; sons, Jamie Taylor Whitfield, Toccoa, GA and Robert Williams, Cornelia, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane and Bill Johnson, Lebanon, TN and Patricia and Bennie Seigler, Turnerville, GA; mother-in-law, Lois Holden, Mt. Airy, GA; sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Samantha and William Crawford, Demorest, GA, and Rene' and Jack Jennings, Easley, SC; brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-laws, Darrell and Jessica Holden, Cleveland, GA, and Keith and Robin Holden, Travelers Rest, SC; grandson, Hayden Sheriff; special niece, Torie Crawford, special god-daughter, Sarah Shelton; and various other nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Mr. Stan Crump and Ms. Torie Crawford officiating. Interment will follow in Stephens Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012, at the funeral home.
