George Walter Turner

George Walter Turner, age 76, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Mr. Turner was born November 24, 1946 to the late James Wallace Turner and Lizzie Mae (Puckett) Turner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeremy Douglas Gosnell. George had worked in the Poultry Industry all of his life, and retired from Fielddale Farms. He will remembered his strong sense of family and his love for animals. He was known to his grandchildren as "Papa George".

Survivors include wife of 56 years, Judy Nell Browning Turner, of Alto; son, Walter Eugene Turner, of Alto; daughters, Kelly Ann Turner, of Alto; Tanya Lynn Turner Allison, of Baldwin; grandson, James "Jake" Lee Allison, of Gillsville; brother, Ralph Daniel Turner, of Washington; and foster sister, Doris Peck, of Gainesville; and numerous cousins.

A Private Family Service will be held.
