Floyd Stokes

Floyd Stokes, age 88, of Cleveland, GA, and formerly of Kingston, NY, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Stokes was born on September 6, 1921 in Rifton, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, June Rose Miller, and his daughter, Judy Lawson. Mr. Stokes was a United States Army World War II veteran and attended the Return Baptist Church. Survivors include: his brother: Vince Stokes, New York; his grandson and wife: Jason and Stacie St. Germaine, Demorest, GA; his great-granddaughter: Jordan St. Germaine, Demorest, GA. No local services will be held. A graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Montrepose Cemetery, Kingston, NY. The family will receive friends at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Kingston, NY from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2010. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia
