Elaine Sharlene Gerrell

Elaine Dixon M. Gerrell, age 76, of Royston, Georgia, formerly of Cornelia, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 peacefully in her sleep.

Mrs. Gerrell was born on July 21, 1946 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Charlie Lilly Dixon, Jr. and Mildred Ida Dixon Strait. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of thirty-seven years, Billy W. Gerrell; brothers, Haven Dixon, Allen Dixon, and Anthony Dixon. She was a member of the Alto Congregational Holiness Church. Elaine had retired from Johnson & Johnson Ethicon after many years of dedicated service.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Stan Davis, of Baldwin; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Rita McCollum, of Lacombe, LA; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Patrick Barry, of Suwanee; step-daughters, Kathy I. Hartley, of Pierre, SD; Tina M. Stallings, of Buford; step-son, Levis Gerrell, of Cleveland; adopted son, Justin Gerrell, of Lavonia; brother, David Dixon, of Clarkesville; sister-in-law, Annie Lee Dixon, of Clarkesville; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2023 at the funeral home prior to the service.
