William Ward, Jr.

WILLIAM WARD, JR., age 69, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Mr. Ward was born in Cornelia, GA on December 27, 1945 to the late William Talmadge and Gladys Greemon Ward. He attended Alto C.H. Church and was formerly employed with Habersham Medical Center, and Scovill Mfg. with 15 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Alice Moore, and Mother-in-law, Sybil Trotter. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Naomi Trotter Ward of Demorest, GA; daughter, Tonya Lumpkin of Demorest; son, Calvin Shane Ward of Demorest; sisters, Betty Gragg of Toccoa, GA, and Beverly McVey of Crestview, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Mac and Faye Ward of Demorest; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several step-brothers and step-sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Alto C.H. Church in Alto, GA with Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Alto C.H. Church.
