William Freeman "Bill" Stone

William Freeman "Bill" Stone Jr., age 81, of Alto, passed away Thursday, November 05, 2009, at a local care facility. Mr. Stone was born in Franklin County, on June 16, 1928, to the late William F. Stone Sr. and Annie Fulghum Stone. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Goss Stone. Mr. Stone was a graduate of North Georgia Technical College. He was a member of Alto Congregational Holiness Church and a television and radio repair technician with 22 years of service. Survivors include son, Michael Todd Stone, Alto, GA ; sisters and brother-in-laws, Pat and Marlin Wade, Alto, GA, Joyce and Ronnie Chandler, Chestnut Mountain, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby R. and Terry Stone, Alto, GA; and 5 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Alto Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev. Stanley Stone officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
