William Jack Simmons

Jack Simmons, age 70, of Toccoa, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the residence following an extended illness. Mr. Simmons was born on January 2, 1942 in Toccoa, Georgia. He was the son of the late Roscoe Clem and Myrtle Pointer Simmons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served on the U.S. Enterprise. He retired from commercial construction and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include wife, Phyllis Rutherford Simmons, Toccoa, GA; sons, Stacey Simmons, Radford, VA, and Blake Simmons, Toccoa, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Samantha Simmons, Woodstock, GA; daughter and son-in-law, April and Cory Addison, Toccoa, GA; sister, Allene O'Kelly, Toccoa, GA; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
