William F. Payne

WILLIAM F. PAYNE, age 74, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at a private care facility. Mr. Payne was born on May 5, 1931 in Habersham County, Georgia. He was a son of the late Francis B. and Vira Brewer Payne and was also preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Blaisdell Payne. Mr. Payne was of the Baptist faith and was a retired brick and block mason. He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of the Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post #7720. Survivors include: his sisters, Betty Payne Zinke, Cornelia, GA; Alma Payne Groom, Panama City, FL; his brother, Howard Payne, Clarkesville, GA. Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2006 from the V.F.W. Memorial Park with Rev. Raymond Payne officiating.
