William O. West

WILLIAM O. WEST, age 69, of Cornelia, Georgia, formerly of Lincoln Park, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. West was born on September 7, 1944 in Dora, Alabama; son to the late John H. and Edith Attins West. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Barbara West. Mr. West was of the Baptist faith and was a retired Certified MRI Technician. Survivors include his daughter, Susan E. West, Cornelia; son, John E. West, South Gate, MI; brother, Louis "Don" West, Cornelia; and grandson, Troy William West. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Dr. Rick Quarles officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday, December 1, 2013.
