William "Bill" Martin,

William “Bill” Martin, Sr, age 83, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Mr. Martin was born on May 5, 1935, in Alto, Georgia; son of the late Garnett and Jessie Robinson Martin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Reba Yarber Martin and son, Billy Martin, Jr. Bill retired from Bryson Auto Parts with 40 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Stephanie Martin of Aiken, SC; sister, Nancy Tench Dodd of Alto; grandchildren: Maranda Zamarripa, Haylee Adams, Corbin Martin, Karen Martin, Lexi Martin, Logan Martin, and Lane Martin; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and longtime friend, Barbara Caudell. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Bill’s Residence, 3815 Level Grove Road, Cornelia, Georgia 30531.
