William Lewis Chosewood

WILLIAM LEWIS CHOSEWOOD, age 95, Alto, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015. Mr. Chosewood was born on September 12, 1919 in Gwinnett County, Georgia to the late Thomas Lewis and Ethel Mae Roper Chosewood. He was a member of Alto C.H. Church for 50 years. He was also owner and operator of Chosewood Farms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha Wade Chosewood; second wife, Marie Stephens Ballew Chosewood; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Max and Judy Chosewood, of Gainesville; Marshall and Shirley Chosewood, of Alto; sisters, Hazel Chosewood Lewallen, of Baldwin; Grace Chosewood, of Atlanta; brother, Grady Chosewood, of Hollywood; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Alto C.H. Church with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Clarence Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2015.
