William Blanton Martin

William Blanton Martin, age 74, of Toccoa, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Mr. Martin was born on November 15, 1941 in Banks County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otho H. "Bud" Martin and Ressie Ayers Martin; sister, Katherine Martin Dalton; brothers, Earl Martin; Hansel Martin; Ed Martin; and Jim Martin. Mr. Martin was a Graduate of Banks County High School. He was a United States Army Veteran, and was owner and operator of William B. Martin Construction Company. Survivors include his daughter, Renee Martin Floyd, of Winston Salem, NC; sisters, Fannie Ruth Kepler, of Alto; Sue Woodberry, of Macon; brother, Butch Martin, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Adam Floyd; Brad Floyd; Cayla Starks; Seth Floyd; and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Chaplain David Miller officiating. Interment will follow in The Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the funeral home.
