William Amos Ferguson, Jr.

WILLIAM AMOS FERGUSON, JR., age 58, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013, at the home following a sudden illness. Mr. Ferguson was born in Demorest, Georgia on March 22, 1955, to the late William A. Ferguson, Sr. and Martha Sarah Harris Ferguson. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam conflict. Mr. Ferguson was employed with the Georgia Department of Corrections at Lee Arrendale Correctional Institute. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville. Survivors include his sister, Pamela Strickland (Randy), Cornelia; brother, Douglas R. Ferguson (Jeannette), Clermont; nieces and nephews, Trista and Brad Grizzle, Clermont, Joey "Jo Jo" Ferguson, Cornelia, Pamela and Kurt Gosnell, Cornelia, and Chase and Tanner Strickland, Cornelia; grand-niece and nephew, Makenzie and Levi Gosnell; loving friend, Lori Gough, Cornelia; and close friend, Anne Christol, Demorest.
