Wesley Avery Dodd, Sr.

WESLEY AVERY DODD, SR., age 61, of Cornelia, GA, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mr. Dodd was born on September 17, 1944 in Clarkesville, Georgia. He was a son of the late Pledger Wesley and Floyce Nicholson Dodd. Mr. Dodd was a member of the Cornelia United Methodist Church. Survivors include: his son and daughter-in-law: Wesley Avery, Jr. and Kerri Dillard Dodd, Cornelia, GA; his sister and brother-in-law: Jeannie Dodd Lowery and Lewis Lowery, Albany, GA; 4 grandchildren: William Terrell Rogers, Bradley Douglas Rogers, Wesley Avery Dodd, III, Dianna Grace Dodd, all of Cornelia, GA; 1 nephew and his family: Jimmy and Cheryl Lowery, Trey and Lauren, all of Macon, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 12, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. Wayne Smith and Rev. Greg Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the B.C. Grant Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 10 to 11 am just prior to the service on Friday. Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the Cornelia United Methodist Church, Video Ministry, 275 Wyly Street, Cornelia, GA 30531.
