Wanda Maxine Collier

Wanda Maxine Collier, age 83, of Cornelia, passed away on Saturday, January 03, 2009. Mrs. Collier was born in Haw-Hatomka, Missouri on July 18, 1925 to the late Walter and Edith Shumate Dickerson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold M. Dickerson. Mrs. Collier was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Cornelia, GA, where she was a member of the Adult Bible Class. She was also a member of the Women's Circle and a member of 3 Arts Club. Mrs. Collier was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and a homemaker to all. She was the last of her immediate family. Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Collier, Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ann Collier, Cornelia; and 2 grandchildren, Andrew Collier and Christopher Collier, both of Cornelia. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the First Presbyterian Church of Cornelia with Rev. Blain Walker officiating. A private burial will be in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2009.
