Walter Lucas

WALTER LUCAS, age 72, of Wausau, WI and formerly of Cornelia, GA, died Friday, March 21, 2008. Mr. Lucas was born on January 3, 1936 in Wadsworth, IL to the late Harold J. and Bertha Ganshaw Lucas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Gibbs Lucas, and a brother Harold Lucas. Mr. Lucas was a member of the Cornelia Christian Church. He was a member of Habersham Life and was retired from Commonwealth Edison. Survivors include: his daughter, Joelle Lucas, Wausau, WI; step-daughters: Stephanie Hanks, Corpus Christy, TX; Stacy McKinley, Demorest, GA; his sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth and Lorrie Lucas, Wausau, WI, and Richard and Amy Lucas, Wausau, WI; his sister: Ellanor Sinesh, Waukegan, IL; 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2008 from the Cornelia Christian Church with *David Terrell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
