REV. VIRLYN KINSEY, age 87, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012, following an extended illness. Rev. Kinsey was born on March 27, 1925, in Hall County, Georgia; son of the late Roscoe Hershel and Ester Altonia Smith Kinsey. He was employed at New Holland Mill with 20 years of service and Chicopee Mill with 21 years of service. He was also employed with the U.S. Security Service where he worked at East Hall High School for 9 years. Rev. Kinsey was a member of Living Missionary Methodist Church and Eastview Baptist Church in Gainesville for a number of years. He currently attended Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Echols Kinsey, Mt. Airy, GA; daughters, Robin Caldwell, Cornelia, GA and Andria Tyler, Dawsonville, GA; granddaughter who was raised in the home, Kelly Palmer, Jefferson, GA; son, Shane Graham, Gainesville, GA; sisters, Onree Dean, Gainesville, GA and Elaine Durrance, Orlando, FL; brother, Marshall Kinsey, Gainesville, GA; grandchildren, Lexy Tyler, Chanda Tyler, Kandy Shook, Tyanna Jackson, Stanley Tyler, Brook Graham, Alex Graham, and Matthew Seamans; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. John Kinsey officiating. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012, at the funeral home.
