Virginia Knight Bonnette

Virginia Knight Bonnette, age 86, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016. Mrs. Bonnette was born on November 30, 1930, in Clarkesville, Georgia, to the late F.S. and Eula Gibbs Knight. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. E.O. "Del" Bonnette; son, Jon Bonnette; sisters, Carol Knight and Pat Knight; and brothers: Stanley, John, Brantley, and Rev. Orman Knight. Mrs. Bonnette was a graduate of Rabun Gap High School. She was also a graduate of Columbia Bible College and North Georgia College and State University where she majored in Early Childhood Education. Virginia was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a volunteer in many areas of the church and taught the Internationals Class with Buddy Raper. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Eulanne and Ed Lyle and Freida and Randy Allen, both of Clarkesville; son and fiancé, Joel Bonnette and Tammy Johnson, Dahlonega; sisters: Jackie Eastham, Cornelia, Brenda Graham, Cairo, and Suzanne Dover, Clarkesville; brother, Charles Knight, Clarkesville; grandchildren and their spouses: Brooke and Juan Carlos Arroliga, Ryan and Gabby Bonnette, Andy Alexander and Amber Long, and Allyson and Justin Hicks; grandchildren: Victoria Bidez, Jessica Bonnette, Jordan Lyle, and Judith Lyle; and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Buddy Raper officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at the funeral home.
