Virginia Crane Ramey

VIRGINIA CRANE RAMEY, age 80, of Cornelia, GA, passed away Sunday, December 27. 2009. Mrs. Ramey was born in Habersham County, on February 6, 1929 to the late Roland Nathaniel and Louella Flanigan Crane. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, Bobby Charles Ramey and Homer Keith Ramey and brothers, Roland N. Crane Jr. and Bobby Eugene Crane. Mrs. Ramey was a member at the Church of Christ of Habersham and was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, James C. Ramey, Cornelia; daughter, Regina Gail Ramey King, Stockbridge; sons, James Larry Ramey, Toccoa, Dwayne Bruce Ramey, Cornelia, Jerry Earl Ramey, Alto and Steven Dwight Ramey, Baldwin; sisters, Jonell Crane Coalley, Alto and Ruby Beatrice Crane McElwaney, Douglasville; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Martin Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
