Vickie Simmons

VICKIE SIMMONS, age 39, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012, following an extended illness. Vickie was born in Commerce, Georgia on May 25, 1973. She was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Fannie Simmons, and Evelyn Gibbs, a nephew, Davey Reese. Vickie attended Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include parents, David M. and Joyce Gibbs Simmons, Cornelia, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dale and Billy Reese, Cornelia, GA and Tonya Jean and Chris Carroll, Reynolds, GA; nephew Michael Reese, of the home. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. John Graham and Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Baldwin City Cemetery, with Rev. Clarence Reynolds and Rev. Lester Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
