Vesta Charles Shirley

VESTA CHARLES SHIRLEY, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Ms. Shirley was born on August 25, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Edna Taylor Charles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Shirley. Ms. Shirley was an artist and displayed many of her paintings at art shows. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Elliott and Jane Shirley, and her granddaughter, Emily Hannah Shirley. She was the last of her immediate family. A visitation service was held from 2-4 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, from Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Arts.
