VALERIE G. PERDUE, age 91, of Magnolia Hills Assisted Living in Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016. Ms. Perdue was born on July 10, 1924 in Tampa, Florida to the late Victoria E. and Donald G. Davidson. She spent most of her life in Central Florida, moving to Banks County in 1986 with her late husband, William F. Kline. She moved to Habersham County in 1999 to live with her sister. Ms. Perdue was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. She had been a volunteer at Habersham Home for a number of years, and formerly attended Habersham County Senior Center. Ms. Perdue served in the Hospital Corps of The United States Navy during World War II. She was preceded in death by her son, Allen S. Kline, Sr.; grandson, Allen S. Kline, Jr; and sister, Thelma Franklin. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Gloria Howell Armstrong and Wallace L. Armstrong, of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Everett Mann, of Norcross; granddaughter, Rachel Kline, of Sharpsburg; great-grandchildren, Christin, Tyler and Johnathan Baxter, of Winder; step-daughter, Theodosia Kountz, of Casar, NC; step-daughter and spouse, Jill and Randy Pearce, of Crawfordville, FL; and step-son, Robert "Robbie" C. Griffin, Jr., of Florida. A Private Graveside Service will Conducted by Rev. J.H. Devereaux and Clyde Ivester.
