Troy Randall Smith

Troy Randall Smith, age 83 of Lula, GA passed away on Friday, January 30, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Banks County, Georgia on July 25, 1925, he was a son of the late William Sheldon and Thannie Cagle Smith. Mr. Smith was retired from Leece-Neville in Gainesville and was a member of the Belton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Jessie Wheeler Smith, Lula, GA; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jerry Randall and Judy W. Smith, Cornelia, GA; Gregory Jearold and Crystal A. Smith, Lula, GA; sister, Lucille Daisy Smith, Baldwin, GA; grandchildren, Sabrina Smith McMullan and Jack McMullan, Clarkesville, GA; William Alexander Smith, Annabell Grace Smith, both of Lula, GA; and great-granddaughter, Madeline Claire McMullan, Clarkesville, GA. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 01, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel in Baldwin. The Rev. Robert Nix will officiate. Interment will follow in the Belton Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Perry Smith officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
