Tommy Lee Barrett

TOMMY LEE BARRETT, age 74, Alto, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014. Mr. Barrett was born on July 26, 1939 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Travis Joe and Veatrice Smith Barrett. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Billy Barrett and Bobby Barrett. Mr. Barrett was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He was a Mason, Shriner, Scottish Rite and York Rite. Mr. Barrett was the former Mayor for the City of Baldwin and former Habersham County Commissioner. He loved camping. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Rosie Cragg Barrett, Alto, GA; son, Travis Stacey Barrett, Alto, GA; sister and brother in law, Gwen and Edwin Williams, Alto, GA. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell and Rev. Luther Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 pm on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
