Tina Marie Pitts

Tina Marie Pitts, age 37, of Lavonia, GA, died Thursday, May 9, 2006 at Cobb Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Pitts was born on January 29, 1969 in Habersham County, GA. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Pitts, Paternal Grandparents: Garnett Pitts; Cousin, William Pitts; Maternal Grandfather: Clifton Long; Uncle: Ray Long. Mrs. Pitts attended South Habersham Junior High and was a graduate of Franklin County High School. Survivors include: her mother and stepfather: Elaine and Roger Canady, Eastanollee, GA; Step-sisters: Teresa Johnson, Carrollton, GA; Kathy Gwin, Villa Rica, GA; Step-brother: Terry Canady, Douglasville, GA; Her dear friends: Windee Carla Murray, and Lynda Edinger, both of Lavonia, GA; maternal Grandmother: Dorothy I Long, Cornelia, GA; Paternal Grandmother: Viola Pitts, Baldwin, GA; Several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin. Burial will follow in the Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
