Tim T. Craven

TIM T. CRAVEN, age 74, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014. Mr. Craven was born on January 26, 1939 in Cornelia, Georgia; son of the late Herbert and Madge Terrell Craven. He was a member of the Cornelia United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran serving in Special Forces in Germany. Mr. Craven was a retired engineer with Standard Telephone Company with 37 years of service. He was a former Scout Master with Troup #24. Mr. Craven was a kind and humble man that cherished his family. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Dianne Ayers Craven, Cornelia; daughter and son in law, Carrie and Greg Griffin, Cornelia; son and daughter in law, Matthew and Tammy Craven, Mt. Airy; sister and brother-in-law, Nina and Grady Cook, Alto; sister, Anita Pitts, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Kitty Craven, Cumming; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, whom he loved with all his heart, Taylor Wright, Whitney Wright, Parker Brown, Katie Brown, Jessie Craven, Cassidy Craven, Paisley Griffin and Brentley Craven. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest. No formal funeral services will be held.
