T. Herman Evans

T. Herman Evans, age 82, of Simpsonville, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Mr. Evans was born on March 5, 1942 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late John Grady and Sallie Mae Pruitt Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Evans; sisters, Allene Prater, Hazel Holbrook, Carolyn Hembree; brothers, Johnny Evans, Floyd Evans, Tommy Evans, and Hoyt Evans.

Mr. Evans was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He had retired from General Electric with many years of service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 and a half years, Rita Jacobs Evans, of Simpsonville, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Allison Conway and Michael Conway, of Madison, SC; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Melissa Evans, of Anderson, SC; Frank and Christina Evans, of Due West, SC; sisters, Martha Ann Stewart, and Peggy Evans; brother, Alfred Evans, and Jimmie Evans. nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Lester Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force and Grant Reeves Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025 at the funeral home.
