Teddie Wheeler Lynch Colbert

TEDDIE WHEELER LYNCH COLBERT, age 90, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Mrs. Colbert was born on March 17, 1923, in Banks County, Georgia, to the late Duke and Dona Posten Wheeler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Colbert; brothers, Floyd, Clarence, and Boyd Wheeler; and sister, Cleadith White. Mrs. Colbert was a retired bookkeeper with VWR Scientific, Inc. with 36 years of service. She was a member of Good News Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Mercer, Tucker, GA, Deborah Colbert, Cumming, GA, and Helen Howard, Flowery Branch, GA; sisters, Jessie Smith, Lula, GA and Lizzie Posten, Murrayville, GA; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
