Tanya Faye Brown, age 42, of Alto, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Mrs. Brown was born February 3, 1974 in Stephens County, Georgia. She was a dedicated member of Alto Congregational Holiness Church where she served as Sunday School secretary. Mrs. Brown was a dedicated wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rhoda and Chester Gragg, and Elvia Armour. Mrs. Brown is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Willie Brown of Alto; mother and stepfather, Dottie and Bobby Cook of Alto; father, Wayne Dodd of Lula; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Leon and Joyce Brown of Rutherforton, NC; sons, William Brown and Logan Brown of the home; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ken and Sherri Cook of Cornelia, Kim and Lana Cook of Dahlonega; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Melissa Brown of Cornelia, Eric and Kathy Holcombe of Homer; also a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Alto Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Leon Brown, and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. The body will be placed in the church to lie in state from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M, Friday, March 4, 2016.
