Swain Randle Pitts

Swain Randle Pitts, age 70, of Mount Airy, Georgia passed away on August 26, 2020. Mr. Pitts was born on October 14, 1949 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Garnett Edward and Viola Worley Pitts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Pitts; and sister, Earnesteen Brown. Mr. Pitts was of the Baptist Faith. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Pitts was a former supervisor at Fieldale Farms with 26 years of service. He was also self employed and retired. Survivors include his loving companion, Sandy Jones, of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Jennifer Pitts, of Mt. Airy; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Ray McAllister, of Mt. Airy; sister, Amelia Cash, of Toccoa; brother, Edward Pitts, of Cornelia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clifton and Marie Pitts, of Cornelia; Bruce and Judy Pitts, of Mt. Airy; and seven grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Don McLain officiating and full military honors by the United States Army, and the Grant-Reeves Veteran's Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m., to 1:30 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
