Susan Tressie Lomax

Susan Tressie Lomax, age 66, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Ms. Lomax was born on January 25, 1951, in Gainesville, Georgia, to Mary Payne Lomax of Toccoa and the late Crawford Lomax. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lavon Caudell. Susan was a homemaker and member of Crossroads Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law: Dwight and Cynthia Lomax of Toccoa, Doyle and Beverly Lomax of Alto, Randy and Kay Lomax of Cleveland, and Shannon and Karen Lomax of Lula and brother, Jerry Lomax of Dahlonega. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Inurnment will follow in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the memorial hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
