Susan Meeler Denton

Susan Meeler Denton, age 50, of Homer, GA, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Denton was born on October 2, 1958 in Jackson County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Loyd E. Meeler. Mrs. Denton was an honor graduate of the Banks County High School and was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church. She was formerly employed with Orbit Manufacturing and Jean's Bridal and Tux as well as a care giver to the elderly. Survivors include: her husband: Jerry M. Denton, Homer, GA; her mother: Ruby Ward Meeler, Baldwin, GA; her daughters: Ashley Suzanne Denton and Jeri Alexis Denton, both of Homer, GA; her sister and brother-in-law: Sandra and Dwight Wheelis, Cleveland, GA; her brothers and sisters-in-law: Ricky and Joan Meeler, Baldwin, GA; Scott and Jennifer Meeler, Commerce, GA; 3 nieces; 3 nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Tim House, Rev. Kenneth McEntire, and Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the South Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday.
