Sue Atkins Myers

SUE ATKINS MYERS, age 73, of Clarkesville, Georgia, died Thursday, August 31, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Myers was born on June 21, 1933 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Walter Curmit and Emily Lenora Brewer Atkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson Myers and was retired. Mrs. Myers was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include, her daughters and sons-in-law: Susan and Wendell Hurt, Mt. Airy, GA; Dianne and Charles Burrell, Clarkesville, GA; her son and daughter-in-law: David and Carla Myers, Carlton, GA; sister: Evelyn Reed, Oakwood, GA; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with Rev. Johnny Loudermilk and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
