Mr. Steve Wayne Wilkinson, age 57, of Toccoa, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at his home.

Born April 4, 1966 in Stephens County, he was a son of Bobbie Bell Wilkinson and the late John Vernon Wilkinson, Sr.

Steve was a 1983 graduate of Stephens County High School.  He was self-employed and ran a logging business and was a very hard worker. In his spare time he loved to fish and spend time outdoors.

Family members in addition to his mother, are his step-children, Christy Welborn (Wesley), Sherry Padgett, and Jamie Carver; his brother, John Vernon Wilkinson, Jr.; nephew, Blake Wilkinson; niece, Brittany Hope Wilkinson; and a great-niece, Elena Wilkinson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gail Carver Wilkinson.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 11am – 1pm prior to the service on Saturday September, 23, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at one o’clock, Saturday 23, 2023 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with the Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating.

Burial will follow at Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Danny Dewberry, David Ausborn, Jack Irvin, Jr., Kenneth Garrett, Michael Harding, and Stacey Holcomb.
