Steven Ray Fattig, Jr.

Steven Ray Fattig, Jr., age 24, of Athens and formerly of Gillsville, GA, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Fattig was born on July 18, 1982 in Snellville, Georgia. He was a construction worker and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: his mother: Carlene Duren Fattig, Athens, GA; his father and step-mother: Steve and Carolyn Fattig, Gillsville, GA; Son: William Fattig, Athens, GA; Sister and Brother-in-law: Tara and Jody Weeks, Athens, GA; Sister: Tonya Smallwood, Athens, GA; Brother: Chris Fattig, Athens, GA; Step-Brothers: Scott Standridge, Commerce, GA; Raymond Standridge and Chad Standridge, both of Gillsville, GA; Step-grandmother: Ruth Harris Parson, Gillsville, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from the Silver Shoals Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Fattig will be at the residence of his stepmother, Carolyn Standridge Fattig, 258 Hickory Flat Road, Gillsville, GA. The family will receive friends at the residence after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Steve Ray Fattig, Jr. Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 866, Baldwin, GA, 30511.
