Steve Pruitt

Steve Pruitt, age 74, of Carnesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Mr. Pruitt was born on May 21, 1942, in Commerce, Georgia, to the late Ralph W. and Ruth Means Pruitt. He was also preceded in death by brothers: Millard, Dillard, and Joel Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt was a retired employee of Carwood Manufacturing with 28 years of service. Steve was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years: Glenda Jackson Pruitt, Carnesville; daughter and son-in-law: Melinder and Eddie Caudell, Carnesville; brother: Wallace Pruitt, Lavonia; brother and sister-in-law: Dempsey and Geraldine Pruitt, Homer; and grandchildren: Lauren, Clint, and Hannah Caudell. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
