Shaun Vannasone, age 38, passed away on January 11, 2024, unexpectedly after a very sudden decline in health.
Shaun was born on February 20th, 1985, in Muang Ngeun, Laos. He was preceded in death by his father, Somdee Vannasone.
Shaun is survived by his loving mother, Amy Vannasone, his sisters, Alina and Chuly Vannasone, brother-in-laws, Jak Bantaum and Scott Anouthai, nephews, Brody and Obi, nieces Jazky and Natalie, cousin, Isaac Vannasone of Bakersfield, CA; and many loyal friends, co-workers and extended family.
In 1983 the Vannasone family immigrated from Laos to Thailand and then in 1990 they made the long journey to Fresno, CA. In 1994 they moved to Liberal, KS, with many other Laotian families in search for job opportunities before moving to Cornelia, Georgia in 2000 and have lived there since.
Shaun graduated from Habersham Central High School in 2003 and attended college at Southern Polytech. Shaun has been an integral part of Ethicon team since September 2006. In his spare time, Shaun enjoys traveling, hunting, fishing, guns and race cars.
The news of his passing left us all in profound shock; inflicting a deep wound upon our hearts. It is gravely felt by his entire family and the multitude of others who cherished him dearly. His family and friends will forever remember him for his compassionate nature and the kindness he wholeheartedly shared. During this challenging period, the family is immensely grateful for your love and support. Your presence and care have been invaluable, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
