Shannon Lee Free

Shannon Lee Free, age 31, Alto, Georgia went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at his residence. Shannon was born in Habersham County, on September 12, 1979. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Odell and Belle Wade; grandfather, Clyde Free; Aunt, Linda Pritchett; and uncles, Eddie and Crawford Free. Shannon was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and a member of Hollingsworth Masonic Lodge #355 F & A.M., and he was a truck driver. Shannon was a loving and caring person and always had a smile for everyone. He was a great son, uncle, brother and friend. Shannon is survived by his parents, Tommy Free and Annette Wade Free, Alto, GA; sisters, Pepper Adams, Alto, GA; Yvonne Brock, Mt. Airy, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Heath and Tracie Free, Cornelia, GA; grandmother, Ethel Free Luthi, Cornelia, GA; one nephew, Caden Free, Cornelia, GA; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Anthony Shore, Rev. Kenneth McEntire and Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with full Masonic Orders by Hollingsworth Masonic Lodge #355 F& A.M. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
