Sarah Catherine Tench

SARAH CATHERINE TENCH, age 88, of Alto, GA, died Saturday, February 09, 2008 at a local area hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Tench was born on August 25, 1919 to the late W. B. and Lily Mae Meister Dalton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Hoyt O. Tench, a son, Tony Tench, and sisters, Mildred Watson and Annabelle Tomlin. Mrs. Tench was a homemaker and a member of the Level Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include: her daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Don Denmon, Powder Springs, GA; Cheryl and Ken Gordon, Demorest, GA; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2008 from the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Cashion, Rev. Tommy Stowe and Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. All family and friends should meet at the church by 1:45 p.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Level Grove cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
