Sallie E. Moore Funeral services for Sallie Caroline Edwards Moore, 91, of Taylorsville will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at Owen Funeral Home, Cartersville, with the Pastor Tommy Harris and Chaplain Rob Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Mrs. Moore died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Heartland Hospice in Cartersville following a brief illness. Born Jan. 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Dock B. and Etta Clark Edwards. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Moore; her brother, Ralph "Shorty" Edwards; and sisters, Lula Bell Grant, Willa Mae Jackson and Frances Edwards. Mrs. Moore was a lifelong resident of Bartow County and was a homemaker and dearly loved home childcare provider, providing care for countless children over the years. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Glenda Moore of Cornelia, Alvin and Brenda Moore of Euharlee; son, Wayne Moore of Taylorsville; daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Alvin Thacker of Cartersville; daughter, Carol Blalock of Cartersville; grandsons, Jeff Blalock of Cartersville and Andy Moore of Euharlee; grandsons and spouses, Rob and Brandi Moore of Demorest, Greg and Louisa Thacker of Cartersville, Gary and Melody Thacker of Cartersville; granddaughter and spouse, Caron and Chris Tidwell of Kingston; great-grandchildren and spouses, Terry and Debbie Thacker, Carey and Melissa Thacker and Daniel and Kim Thacker, all of Cartersville; great-grandchildren, Landon, Brady and Bryson Moore of Bartow County, Logan and Noah Tidwell of Kingston, Alan and Anne Thacker of Cartersville, Ethan Tomlin of Demorest; great-great-grandchildren, Allen, Gage and Dakota Thacker of Cartersville.
