Ruth Marchbanks

Ruth Marchbanks, age 89, of Clarkesville, Georgia formerly of Lula, Georgia passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 following an extended illness. Mrs. Marchbanks was born on September 29, 1925 in Gainesville, GA.,to the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Southers. She was a member of White Hall Baptist Church in Lula, GA. She retired from the Hall County School System with 25 years of loyal and dedicated service. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Eugene Marchbanks; daughter, Brenda Fleming, and son, Michael Marchbanks. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Bonnie Marchbanks, of Clarkesville, GA.,4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 6 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. , Saturday, January 17,2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Tracy Davidson officiating.
