RUTH MCPECK CROW, age 94, of Dalton, Georgia, and formerly of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012. Mrs. Crow was born on July 6, 1918, in Alto, Georgia; daughter of the late Herbert E. and Ola Bond McPeck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Crow. Mrs. Crow received her Bachelor's Degree from Piedmont College and her Master's Degree from the University of Georgia. She was a retired school teacher from Cornelia Elementary School with 29 years of service. Mrs. Crow was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority and was also past president. She was a member of the Three Arts Club and WMU. Mrs. Crow was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia for over 60 years and was in the Volunteer Sunday School Class. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mac and Margaret Puckett Crow, Dalton, GA; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Cornelia, with Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., prior to the funeral service, on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
