Russell B. Miller

Russell B. Miller, age 88, of Clarkesville, GA passed away, Friday, July 3, 2009 following an extended illness. Born in Carroll County, Mississippi on August 7, 1920, he was the son of the late Louise Russ and Rose Barney Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Scovill Manufacturing with 33 years of dedicated service. Survivors include wife, Bessie Weed Miller, Clarkesville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bobby Williams, Athens, TN, Glenda and Tom Estes, Clarkesville, GA and Wanda and Kenneth Trotter, Clarkesville, GA; son, Ronald D. Miller, Clarkesville, GA, son and daughter-in-law: Benny and Janice Miller, Sautee, GA and Barry and Shelia McClain, Toccoa, GA; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA. with Rev. Bill Trotter. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday.
