Runell Nelms Anderson

MRS. RUNELL NELMS ANDERSON, age 76 of Alto, GA died Sunday, May 25, 2008, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Anderson was born in Jackson County GA on June 12, 1931 to the late Floyd J. and Eddie Hogan McDougald. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Anderson, two sons David and Dean Nelms, a sister, Ruth Sosebee, two brothers, Buddy and Paul J. McDougald and one grandson Chris Irvin. She was a member of the White Creek Baptist Church and a retired seamstress. Survivors include two daughters, Annette Irvin, Toccoa, GA and Penny Smith, Murrayville, GA, three sons, Billy McDougald, Cornelia, GA, Dale Nelms, Cleveland, GA and Darrell Nelms, Alto, GA, three sisters, Lunette Stover, Gainesville, GA, Dora Mae Murphy, Gainesville, GA and Shirley McKenney, Duluth, GA three brothers, Duck McDougald, Cleveland GA, Curtis McDougald, Social Circle, GA and Floyd J. McDougald, Jr., Cleveland, GA, four grandchildren, Morgan Smith, Avery Smith, Chris Nelms, and Jerri Mason, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm at White Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Shore, Rev. Mark Gunter, and Rev. Paul Flynn will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA on Monday, May 26, 2008 from 2pm -9pm.
