Rudolph Ezra Hulsey

RUDOLPH EZRA HULSEY, age 92, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Hulsey was born in Habersham County, Georgia, on December 8, 1917 to the late William Ezra and Eunice Perry Hulsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert and Jefferson Hulsey. Mr. Hulsey was a member of the Glade Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed cattle farming. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in the World War II. Mr. Hulsey retired from WABCO in Toccoa after 35 years of service. Survivors include loving wife of 63 years, Carolee Whitfield Hulsey, Mt. Airy, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda Coleman and Pat, Gainesville, FL, Vivian and Kenneth McConnell, Mt. Airy, GA; daughter, Sheila Owen, Aiken, SC; sisters, Clara Rudeseal, Mt. Airy, GA, Margie Barnett, Mocksville, NC, Thenia Tilson, Mt. Airy, GA, and Jean Purcell, Winterville, GA; brothers, MInuard Hulsey, Mt. Airy, GA, Everett Hulsey, Athens, GA and Julian Hulsey, Mt. Airy, GA; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Friday, July 16, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
